About Mrs. Sorensen

Hello friends!

My name is Alyssa Sorensen and I am one of the kindergarten teachers at Willard South Elementary. This will be my third year teaching kindergarten. I love all things learning and all things kindergarten! It is a year of exploring, building friendships, and learning. My passion is teaching and making a positive impact on all of my student's lives. My main goal is for my students to leave me at the end of each year with a LOVE and PASSION for learning and doing their best.

To tell you a little bit about me.. I am 24 years old. I graduated from Missouri State University in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am now working towards a Master's Degree in Literacy. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Jeremie, for one year. We have two dogs together that we love dearly, a teacup yorkie named Bella and a boxer mix named Odin. In my free time, I love to hike with my dogs, read, spend time with my loved ones, and craft.

Kindergarten is such a wonderful year in a child's life and I look forward to being a part of it!
